Vikki McDonald

Mrs. Vikki McDonald joined the Queens Road Dental Practice team in January 2011. Vikki is a local lass, having grown up in the Aberdeen area and attended Cults Academy in her formative years. She qualified with honours from Dundee University Dental School in July 2004, receiving numerous merits and prizes along the way.

After completing her training in the community dental service in Cornwall, Vikki returned to Scotland in 2008. Working in the Kirkcaldy Community Dental Service, she developed an interest in treating anxious and phobic patients using a variety of sedation techniques. Since then she has also worked for Grampian Community Dental Service where she provided treatment to a wide range of patients including those with special needs and dental anxiety.

Vikki places great emphasis on continuing professional development and post-graduate education. Vikki recently passed a series of examinations granting membership to the prestigious Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd).

Other than dentistry, Mrs. McDonald enjoys time spent with her husband and their new born baby girl. She partakes in numerous outdoor activities, from walking her dog Daisy, to rambling in the hills and camping in the great outdoors. Vikki is currently on maternity leave and hopes to return to work in March 2012.
